From July 12–19, 66 students from across Virginia attended Youth Conservation Camp at Virginia Tech, hosted by the Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts (VASWCD).

Three Rivers SWCD was proud to sponsor two local students — one from King William and one from Essex County. Our Education & Outreach Coordinator, Grace, also served as a camp counselor!

Campers took part in hands-on conservation activities, toured Virginia Tech programs, and kayaked the New River.

A big congratulations to Sterling Brooks of Essex, who was named Camper of the Week for the second year in a row!
