The Three Rivers Soil and Water Conservation District sponsors a Wildlife Food Plot competition for students within the district (Essex, King & Queen and King William Counties). This program is not only used to attract wildlife but to provide an opportunity for the students to learn about conservation and wildlife while helping them to develop an appreciation for the world around them. The plots will be judged on variety of seeds used, seed production, location of plot and bonus points are given for evidence of wildlife using the plots.
There are two participation groups; the Junior Division is for students 9-12 years of age and the Senior Division is for students 13-18 years of age. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three plots in each division—1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
The application form will be linked below. All applications must be submitted by September 30th.
