Every year, Three Rivers SWCD sponsors students to attend Youth Conservation Camp held on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, VA. The 2026 camp will take place July 12–18 and is designed to educate and inspire students through hands-on natural resource conservation experiences.

Camp activities include lake ecology studies, canoeing the New River, hiking the Cascades, and touring Virginia Tech’s agricultural research farm.

Applicants must be Virginia students entering grades 9–12. Students who have attended Youth Conservation Camp in previous years are not eligible. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp.
