On May 20th, Three Rivers Soil & Water Conservation District proudly hosted Ag Day at Tappahannock Elementary School for 3rd and 4th grade students. The event gave students a fun, hands-on experience exploring agriculture, conservation, and natural resources.
Thank you to our Education & Outreach Coordinator, Grace Daughtrey, for organizing this outstanding event. Her hard work and dedication made the day a great success for both students and presenters.
We’re also grateful to the incredible guest speakers who shared their time and expertise:
Wayne Suris, Charlie Piersa, Faye Hundley & Kathy Surtles – Virginia Farm Bureau / Richmond Beekeepers Association
Claire Wilmore & Robin Didlake – Friends of the Rappahannock
K9 Officer Dobyns – Virginia Conservation Police (DWR)
Keith Balderson & Dwight Forrester – NRCS
Danielle Brown – Virginia Cooperative Extension
At Three Rivers SWCD, we’re always proud to educate the next generation of agricultural and environmental leaders!
