Over 400 Soil and Water Conservation District Directors and Staff were in attendance at the Annual Meeting held in Norfolk between December 3 and December 6. Three Rivers SWCD was represented by Director Thomas Fox and Director Langdon Townsend, both serving King William County, as well as Anne Davis, Administrative Coordinator, and Grace Daughtrey, Education and Outreach Specialist. This year’s Annual Meeting offered a multitude of trainings in areas covering a wide variety of topics from Administration and Operations, Conflict of Interest Act, and Education Programing and Projects.

Our staff and directors were able to attend many of the training sessions held, including Human Resources Training Recruitment and Retention Strategies, Virginia Environmental Literacy Plan, Review of the VASWCD Legislative Agenda, and Mobile and Interactive Education. Three Rivers was also represented at the Foundation and Association business meetings. Thomas and Langdon attended the Director and Partner Luncheon while Grace and Anne attended the Employees Luncheon.
