NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!!!
Three Rivers SWCD offers three academic scholarships for students within Essex, King & Queen and King William Counties. Applications are due March 1 and can be found at www.trswcd.org/academic-scholarships.
- Earl H. and Anna K. Longest Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 is open to King & Queen residents who are pursuing a degree in agriculture and/or natural resources or come from a farming background.
- John F. Townsend, Sr. Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 is open to King William residents who are pursuing a degree in agriculture and/or natural resources or come from a farming background.
- J. Franklin “Frankie” Townsend, Jr. Memorial Scholarship – $1,000 is open to Essex, King & Queen and King William residents who are pursuing a degree in agriculture and/or natural resources or come from a farming background.
The District also assists in promoting two other scholarships for students within Essex, King & Queen and King William Counties. Applications are due March 1.
- Larkin Hundley Memorial Endowment – $2,000 is administered by Colonial Farm Credit and applications can be found at www.colonialfarmcredit.com/scholarships.
- VASWCD Scholarships (4 winners eligible) – $1,000 is administered by Virginia Association of Conservation Districts and applications can be found at www.vaswcd.org/student-scholarships.
