On January 10th, Waring Baylor, our Conservation Specialist, and Grace Daughtrey, our Education and Outreach Specialist, attended the 36th Annual Five County Ag Conference that is held by Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE). The agenda of the event included a Grain Market Update, Precision Weed Management Using Emerging Technology, Corn Fertility and Cover Crop Research, Disease and Nematode Updates, and Deer Management Options for Agricultural Producers. Cooperating agencies, including SWCDs, NCRS, and FSA were able to give updates to the producers from Hanover, Essex, King and Queen, King William, and Caroline counties.
